Living with Blinkers
You need to be careful with Blinking Text. There's a lot of negative feeling about it. It can be very irritating and probably ought not be used on pages where a visitor might be spending much time.
Here's our source followed by our successive steps in "quieting" the blinker.
Defaults: Color transitions 4; Speed = 1; Interval = 1000
Smoothing the transitions:
Color Transitions: 20; Default: speed = 1; Interval = 50
Slowing down the cycle:
Color Transitions: 50; Default: speed = 1; Interval = 100
Remember: Mozilla browsers won't display this effect :: Maybe they just plain HATE blinkers!
